Europe’s best engineering workplace hires 167 new employees
DIS is growing rapidly and hired 167 new employees in 2017.
DIS is experiencing a strong growth these years and hired 167 new employees in 2017. Especially at the headquarter in Stilling near Aarhus and at the Polish office in Krakow the company has welcomed many new employees, but the offices in Aalborg, Esbjerg and Copenhagen as well as the offices in Germany and the USA have also added new skills and resources within all industrial engineering disciplines.
In November, the engineering company opened an new office in Kolding and outside of Denmark, DIS opened another office in the US in Orlando, and in December the company ventured into the Spanish market by opening an office in Barcelona.
- In recent years, our various activities have grown significantly both in Denmark and abroad. We have been successful in attracting competent employees, where in Poland alone we have hired 45 new colleagues, so that we can continues to maintain and develop the high-quality services our customers demand, says Michael Gadeberg, Director and Partner at DIS.
Last summer DIS was awarded Europe’s best engineering workplace 2017, where more than 2300 companies from 19 different countries participated in the survey ‘Europe’s Best Workplaces’, based on the Great Place to Work consultancy company’s definition of a good workplace, as a place where the employees trust management, take pride in their work and have a strong sense of belonging with their colleagues. To uncover the level of trust, pride and sense of belonging, all employees filled in an online survey.
One of the reasons why DIS was awarded one of Europe’s best workplaces is the general well-being of the employees and in particular the strong focus on continuous employee development and the ability to maintain a unique company culture.
- The tremendous growth in new employees requires that we ensure that our unique company culture also exists in our offices abroad, and fortunately we have succeeded in that. Through our DIS Global Team set-up, where employees across borders solve tasks for our customers, our Polish employees work closely with a team of i.e. Danish employees, which among other things has provided our Polish colleagues with insight in the culture at DIS, says Michael Gadeberg.
DIS is Denmark’s leading engineering and R&D company providing consultancy and engineering services as well as turn-key solutions to industries in Denmark and abroad.
